Answers to Your Pest Control Questions

  • Are Shoreline Pest & Wildlife Control technicians certified?
Yes! We have experienced, knowledgeable, state-certified technicians who keep their skills up to date by participating in continuing education.
  • Are pest control treatments safe?
At Shoreline Pest & Wildlife Control, we prioritize safety and effectiveness in all our treatments. Our products are EPA-registered, and our methods consistently meet or exceed label requirements to minimize pesticide use in your home or business. We also take extra precautions to ensure the safety of children and pets during every service.
  • Do I need to leave my house during pest control treatment?
You can remain at home during most pest control treatments. However, for some specialized services, such as flea treatments, we ask you to stay out of the house for up to 6 hours. If we need you to leave, we will let you know ahead of time and lock up the house securely when we leave. For exterior treatments, there's no need for you to be home at all!
  • What happens if it rains after an exterior pest control treatment?
We use pest control products that are designed to resist weather conditions for a time. Once dry, it withstand most normal rainfall, but we will re-treat if you are not satisfied with the results.
  • I caught an insect invader in my home. Can you identify it for me?
Certainly! If you want to bring in an insect for identification, give us a call or stop by. We will tell you what it is and what can be done to get rid of the pest.
  • Does spraying with over the counter chemicals help control pests?
No, in some cases, it will actually spread the insects around the house and make it more difficult for our treatment to be effective.
  • If a pest returns after a pest control treatment, will you come back for free?
Absolutely. You are paying us to take care of your pest problem, and we take that seriously. Your technician will inform you how much time you need to allow our treatment to work. After that, as long as the reoccurrence is within the warranty period, we will cover the cost of any necessary additional treatments.
  • How do I know if there are termites in my house?
Look for groups of “swarmers” (which are the reproductives), visible mud tubes, or damaged wood. If you think you might have termites, call a reputable pest control company to perform a professional inspection. This is not a do-it-yourself job.
  • What type of pest control program do I need?
It's always best to contact a professional if you're unsure what will take care of your pest problem. At Shoreline Pest & Wildlife Control, our friendly team is always happy to discuss what issues you have and what service is best for you. We even provide custom service plans if you have special circumstances. Get in touch today!
